CITB Temporary Works General Awareness (TWGATC) Course

Overview

This CITB Temporary Works General Awareness Course (TWGATC) is a one day accredited site safety - Construction Training Course.  This CITB course is designed to provide training to those in Temporary Works, but who do not undertake the role of the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or Supervisor (TWS) as defined in BS5975.  It is assumed that delegates who attend this safety training course have limited or no detailed previous knowledge of Temporary Works.

Delegates under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian to successfully attend.

*  PLEASE NOTE - It will take approximately 2-3 weeks for the CITB to issue an E-Cert  *

Objectives

At the end of this training course successful delegates will be able to:   

  • Understand what constitutes Temorary Works
  • Understand how Temporary Words are Used
  • Understand the importance of Safety and how to overcome common issues
  • Understand the need for the management process

The CITB Temporary Works General Awareness Course will cover the following topics: -

  • Temporary Works Overview
  • Background Information
  • Common issues associated with Temporary Works
  • How Temporary Works are Used
  • Management of the Temporary Works process

 

Assessment

Candidates will be required to complete a multiple choice test paper and successfully pass in order to obtain their CITB certification.  Certificates are valid for 5 years.

Prerequisites
