SSSTS - important for Supervisors

Supervisors have a certain level of responsibility to their jobs and the people they are in charge of so help to ease the tension with SSSTS courses.

As you go up the career ladder, more and more is required to you in the way of skills and qualifications, entry level employees that start on the bottom will have to gain their required skills and qualifications as they intend to move up. Even people that manage to complete their time at university and come out with degrees in their various field will need to go on training courses to provide them with additional knowledge as to how to do their chosen jobs well. These training courses may be refresher courses to those that have been working a great deal and for a long time, the aim of those courses are to keep people up to date with health and safety regulations in their current field.

Supervisors have a great deal of responsibility on their shoulders, they have a great deal of pressure to do their jobs as well as possible and to keep the people under their supervision as safe as possible. Fields where supervisors need to make sure that they stay up to date in health and safety regulations, company policy and practises are ones that have the potential to be very dangerous to employees, this includes the construction industry, the food preparation industry and places that have people working on heavy machinery. Health and safety rules are constantly changing and being updated, this means that supervisors of different sites have to update their knowledge of these rules so that the risk of accidents or injury are as low as possible.

SSSTS courses and SSSTS refresher courses are there to help supervisors keep on top of their health and safety rights and wrongs, the course is there to help supervisors of construction sites keep the area safe for everyone that is working there. Site Supervisor's Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is there to train superiors to understand health and safety regulations that are relevant to their working activities, it also helps to make them aware of their legal health and safety responsibilities when they are on duty and most importantly trains them to make sure that the proper supervision is taken when people are working on a construction site.
