The importance of paediatric training

First Aid is vital within any situation, especially within a work environment where you may not only be responsible for yourself but also other staff members or even visitors. First Aid is extremely important when it comes to working children and being liable for a young persons welfare.

We understand this here at Easybook Training and that is why we offer a Paediatric First Aid training course thats meets all the requirements of the Early Years foundation stage statutory framework.

This course is aimed towards people either already working with younger children or studying towards their NVQ in Childcare and Education and hoping to work with children in the future. This could mean you work as a teacher, in a nursery or as a nanny, to name a few.

The Paediatric First Aid course is vital training that should be taken seriously, it will prepare the delegate for any unfortunate scenarios that could occur. The training is based around emergency situations that the employee may witness during day to day routines.

This training course is so useful because it covers accidents and illnesses that could be potentially life threatening if the correct care wasn't given. People that undertake the course should expect to learn about resuscitation recovery positions, what to do if a child faints or chokes, how to help a child with diabetes or epilepsy and how to respond correctly to a child that has burnt themselves, as well as the basics such such as how to treat cuts and wounds. Another aspect of the Paediatric First Aid course is to understand the importance of recording any accidents or incidents that take place in a journal or first aid book.

Once the delegate has completed the training course they be will have the skills and knowledge to deal with any injury that may occur. They will also be able to react to an accident or incident in a timely, calm and confident manner.

The Paediatric First Aid training course is a classroom based course and lasts for two days. We offer this training nationwide so it couldn't be easier to find a course venue that is located near you or at least within easy reach.

There will be no final examination to undertake, the candidate will be continually monitored throughout the duration of the course. If they successfully reach the end of the two day Paediatric First Aid course then they will be awarded a certificate. The certificate will be valid for three years.
