Anyone who comes into contact with asbestos, or asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) at work, must be trained in order to carry out their job safely. Asbestos is an extremely dangerous substance, which can cause serious health implications if disturbed or damaged.

Make sure you understand the hazards of working with asbestos, what to do if you accidentally discover asbestos on your worksite, and how to comply with safety laws.

This 2-3 hour IATP accredited Asbestos Awareness (Category A) course has been developed by health and safety professionals to comply with UK Health and Safety regulation.

Please note: This is not a practical training course. If you plan to work directly with asbestos or ACMs, you will need additional training beyond this general awareness course, with practical demonstrations of control measures and personal protective equipment.
