ECITB - CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal Course

Overview

The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course is a nationally recognised qualification for delegates who have a current Safety Passport which is about to expire. This safety course will bring delegates up to date with present legislation and is 1 day in length. Delegates MUST renew their card BEFORE the card expires.  Those who wish to renew their Safety Passport early can do so up to 3 months prior to the expiry date.

On successful completion of the CCNSG Renewal delegates are issued with a new CCNSG Safety Passport which is valid for 3 years.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  All candidates must take with them to the course either a current UK photo card driving license or current travel passport as proof of identity. Any other type of photo ID must be agreed to before the course date. If a candidate fails to provide photographic ID they will not be accepted on the course, but will still be charged the full cost.

Delegates are also required to take a note of their National Insurance number and 2 Passport size photographs on the first day of the course.

 

Objectives

The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course will provide delegates with the following:

  • Update on legislation and safety practices
  • Refresher on the areas covered in the safety passport
  • Hazard spotting and job safety analysis

Agenda

The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal will cover the following:

  • Health and Safety law, permits to work and safe behaviour at work
  • Safe working practices relating to working at height, use of scaffolding and access equipment
  • Safe working practices for access, exiting and site transport
  • Accident, first aid and fire procedures, precautions
  • COSHH regulations and personal protective equipment requirements
  • Implications of working with asbestos
  • Noise and hand-arm vibration procedures and practices
  • Regulations for working with cranes and heave lifting equipment
  • Procedures and practices for working with cranes and heavy lifting
  • Procedures, controls and precautions for electricity and power isolation

 

Assessment

Delegates are required to complete 4 multiple choice tests and achieve a pass rate of 80% or more.  Successful candidates will be issued with a CCNSG Safety Passport which will be valid for 3 years.

Who Should Attend?

Any delegate who has a valid CCNSG Safety Passport which is due to expire.  Candidates who wish to renew their Safety Passport early can do so up to 3 months prior to the expiry date.

Delegates looking to progress into a supervisory role should attend the ECITB CCNSG Leading a Team Safely course

Prerequisites

A valid CCNSG Safety Passport must be held by delegates wishing to attend this course and presented to the trainer on arrival to the course.   Candidates who wish to renew their Safety Passport early can do so up to 3 months prior to the expiry date.

FAILURE TO PRODUCE A VALID IN DATE PASSPORT MAY RESULT IN ENTRY TO THE COURSE BEING REFUSED.  FULL COURSE FEES MAY STILL APPLY.

  • Will lunch be Included?

    The joining instructions will indicate if lunch is provided for the duration of your course.  Should you need to know prior to booking please contact one of our team who will be happy to advise.

  • When will I receive my Course Joining Instructions?

    Course joining instructions are sent 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement.  If you book within this time frame they are emailed within 24 hours of the booking being placed.

  • What time does my course start?

    Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement.  Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.

  • Can I complete a name change on my booking?

    Yes, a name change can be completed free of charge providing the delegate being substituted has the required pre-requisites. You can submit your request by emailing our customer service team at training@easybooktraining.co.uk or calling on 01892 543000.

  • Why do I need to provide a pre-requisite?

    Pre-requisites are requested when the awarding body requires proof of a previous in date qualification or experience, to ensure delegates are eligible to attend.
