Budget Release 2017 - Our Focus on The New Homes Policy for The Construction Industry

As ever, the new Government budget has been released. As the country hits a period of massive strife politically and economically, people waited with baited breath to see what Chancellor Phillip Hammond would step forthwith.

A policy that stood out was the New Homes priority – apparently, of “high” priority now to the government, the budget pledged to put £15bn into financial support over the next five years.

While hardly a game-changer, anything that can help to move on the construction industry is something to be applauded. However, this will mean that with more housing projects hopefully starting shortly, that there will be a greater need for training requirements and construction training courses in most major cities.

As cities like Newcastle, Manchester and London prepare for what will hopefully see a resumption of regularly developed, affordably-priced households, there will be a demand for increased workforce. This means making sure that a significant number of people with a NEBOSH construction certification will become very important.

New Opportunities Arising?

These changes will open up new opportunities in parts of the country where development and employment are needed as a matter of urgency. Therefore, there will be an increased demand for workforce needs, and it’s likely that this could mean more people have to undertake construction courses to make the most of the next half-decade of spending commitments.

These construction training courses will play a significant role in helping people to get back on board with the world of work. At Easybook Training, we help people get back on-track all the time and make sure that they can get back into the world of work and maintain their ambitions and requirements.

If you are serious about taking yourself back into the working world, then you should look to undertake safety training courses, construction training courses and/or obtain a NEBOSH construction certificate.

These major changes to the industry will hopefully see more projects being undertaken and more people being given a chance to get back into the world of work and make a future for themselves. Many people have the skills but perhaps lack the accreditation; now would be a good time to get involved and invest in your future.

You should be looking to make the most of the new opportunities which will be appearing. These new housing development opportunities in the days, weeks, months and years to come are vital. Interested? Then getting prepared now is vital. You should look to undertake as many safety training courses, construction courses and certifications that you can.
