The First Aid at Work (FAW) training course covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace and will give candidates the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.
Where an employer has identified a need for a fully qualified First Aider, a person should be nominated for training in accordance with HSE guidance and legal obligations.

The First Aid at Work training course will cover the following topics: -
Delegates will be assessed via continuous trainer observation and written assessments.
On successful completion of the course and assessments, the delegate will receive their First Aid at Work Certificate. This is valid for three years.
The HSE strongly recommends that all first aiders complete a half-day refresher course annually.
Nominated workplace first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid.
Under the current HSE guidelines it is "strongly recommended" that first-aiders undertake an annual half day refresher course and a full re-qualification by the 3 year expiry.

It is the responsibility of the employer to choose a person who can physically fulfil the role of a first aider in the workplace.
Please note that we reserve the right to prevent the delegate from completing the course if they should have any of the above problems or if they are pregnant and the trainer feels that the delegate could put themself of others in danger.
The joining instructions will indicate if lunch is provided for the duration of your course. Should you need to know prior to booking please contact one of our team who will be happy to advise.
Course joining instructions are sent 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. If you book within this time frame they are emailed within 24 hours of the booking being placed.
Full attendance on all days, at the required times stated on your course joining instructions, is compulsory to successfully complete the course.
Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.
