This two day SSSTS training course is intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. Through completing this CITB course, supervisors will be provided with an ability to understand health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will highlight the requirement to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.
The SSSTS course is endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group as the standard training for all supervisors working on UKCG sites.
Delegates under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian to successfully attend.

At the end of the CITB SSSTS course delegates are required to sit an exam paper consisting of 25 questions, of which 4 are safety critical and require a short written answer. Multiple choice questions are worth 1 point each and safety critical questions are worth 1-3 points each. In order to pass the course delegates MUST answer ALL of safety critical questions correctly. The SSSTS Course pass rate is 80% (24 out of 30)
Delegates who successfully complete the projects and assessment are awarded the CITB SSSTS - Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme certificate which is valid for 5 years.
This CITB Safety course is aimed at first line managers, foreman, gangers, team leaders, supervisors and those who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities.
Delegates may choose to progress to the 5 day CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision.

A good understanding of spoken and written English will be necessary in order to attend and complete the course successfully.
CITB certificates are issued electronically via email, and typically take around 2 weeks to be issued. You can also view your results online via the CITB profile at www.citb.co.uk/cards-testing/online-card-checker
The joining instructions will indicate if lunch is provided for the duration of your course. Should you need to know prior to booking please contact one of our team who will be happy to advise.
Course joining instructions are sent 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. If you book within this time frame they are emailed within 24 hours of the booking being placed.
Full attendance on all days, at the required times stated on your course joining instructions, is compulsory to successfully complete the course.
Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.
Yes, a name change can be completed free of charge providing the delegate being substituted has the required pre-requisites. You can submit your request by emailing our customer service team at training@easybooktraining.co.uk or calling on 01892 543000.
CITB do not currently offer a card option in place of the e-cert.
