CITB ONLINE Temporary Works Supervisor (TWSTC) Course (Remote Learning)
1 Day CourseOnline Instructor Led
Supervising temporary works on site calls for a solid understanding of both the legal duties involved and the practical teamwork needed to keep everyone safe, and this one day CITB Online Temporary Works Supervisor Course (Remote Learning) brings that training straight to your screen. Delivered remotely using instructor-led online learning, the course content remains the same as the classroom-based TWSTC course, though delegates attend a scheduled, interactive class via Zoom video conferencing rather than in person.
Designed to help those on site who have responsibility for supervising temporary works, the CITB Online Temporary Works Supervisor Course (Remote Learning) is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and focuses on the importance of good safety practices, legislation, and risk management for projects of all sizes. Candidates need experience of being responsible for managing all forms of temporary works, along with detailed knowledge and understanding of BS5975 in respect of this role. Anyone weighing up remote against classroom delivery may also want to look at the CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWCTC) Course, a natural progression point for anyone moving between the two roles.
The course also emphasises the importance of the 4Cs: communication, co-ordination, co-operation and competency. Please note that attendance alone doesn't confirm competency as a Temporary Works Supervisor; that comes from a mixture of education, training and experience, though training is considered an essential element of that competence. Delegates are asked to refer to the current British Standards BS5975 for Temporary Works (Code of Practice) prior to their training.
To take part, delegates need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker; tablets aren't supported for this course. It takes approximately two to three weeks for the CITB to issue an E-Cert following successful completion.
