ONLINE Project Management 1 Day Course (Remote Learning)

Overview

This 1 day Project Management training course will be delivered remotely, using instructor-led online learning. The course content remains the same as classroom-based training, however, you’ll attend a scheduled, interactive class via Zoom video conferencing. For this, you will need access to a table, laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker.

If project management makes up a significant part of your role, this course will teach you everything you need to know about setting up and managing a successful project. We invite you to work on a current project during the course, if you can. You can test new techniques and methodologies to plan and schedule, as well as overcome any issues you may be facing.

Objectives

This one-day virtual course in Project Management will give you the tools you need to feel more confident in delivering successful projects. By the end of the day, you’ll:

Agenda

On this remote training course, we’re going back to the very beginning. Starting with the definition of a project, we’ll look at pre-project research, common terminology, who’s in the team, their roles, and how to communicate with everyone effectively. Then, we’ll take you through the process, step by step, covering:

  • Project management techniques
  • What makes a successful project?
  • Why good communication is important
  • Common challenges you might face
  • Planning – objectives, desired outcomes and identifying customer needs
  • Limitations – resources and timescales
  • Risk analysis, budgets and building a team
  • Delivery – create a detailed work schedule
  • Gantt charts and Critical Path Analysis
  • Evaluation – reporting, contingencies and handing over

Assessment

There’s no formal assessment for this course. However, you’ll receive a Certificate of Attendance for your records and qualify for 5.5 CPD hours.
