This 100% online course is fully approved by CITB & CSCS and allows delegates to obtain their CSCS Green Card (subject to also passing the CITB HS&E touchscreen test at an approved test centre). This course is an alternative to the Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment and the CITB Health & Safety Awareness. Certification is available immediately for students who successfully pass the final test.  The cost of the training does not include the touchscreen test or card application fees.

Delegates can complete this online training course in their own time and should allow approximately 3 hours to complete it plus an additional 30 minutes for the final test.  The final exam link is accessible once students have successfully completed all training modules, and will be carried out by recorded invigilation

PLEASE NOTE - Anyone wanting to take this course should ensure they have read all of the FAQ's at the bottom of the page. Students must use a PC or laptop with a webcam and microphone for the final exam.  A smartphone or tablet can only be used to complete the course modules.

Students are required to have a good understanding of the English Language.

At the end of the Safe2Site Health & Safety Awareness course successful candidates will understand: -

  • Responsibilities of workers for their own safety and the safety of others
  • Construction hazards and how they are controlled
  • How everyone can help achieve better safety on site with practical standards

  • Manual handling

Assessment

Course assessment will consist of a multiple-choice test of 30 questions.  Delegates are required to achieve a pass rate of 80% (24 out of 30).  Delegates are required to complete all course modules prior to taking their test.

All students will be required to provide valid photographic I.D (Passport or UK/EU Driving Licence)

This CITB & CSCS approved online health and safety awareness course is aimed at anyone who has entered, or is about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry.

Prerequisites

In order to ensure students are able to comply with the full range of pre-requisites for this course please make sure you have read all of the FAQ's relating to the PC/laptop and internet requirements. Additionally any delegate wishing to complete this course MUST have a good understanding of spoken and written English and be able to produce valid photographic I.D (Passport or UK/EU Driving Licence).

  • How long is my certificate valid for?

    Certification is valid for 5 years.  On expiry, delegates are required to re-take the training.

  • How do I get my CSCS Green Labourers Card?

    There are 2 stages to achieving the CSCS Green Card.  It doesn't matter which order you complete the below stages in.

    • Stage 1 - Complete & Pass Safe2Site Online Training Course
    • Stage 2 - Take a CITB Health, Safety & Environment touch screen test at your local centre (Approximate cost is £21)

    Once the above 2 stages are complete you can then apply for your card directly with CSCS.  The cost of the card is currently £36

    PLEASE NOTE - The cost of the online course does not include the touchscreen test or CSCS card application.

  • Is a refund available if the course isn't right for me?

    You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase, providing you haven’t accessed the Safe2Site course.

     

  • What equipment will I need to complete the course & final test?

    You will need either a phone, tablet, computer, or laptop to complete the initial online element of training.  For the final test delegates are required to use a computer or laptop with webcam, speaker & microphone facilities.

    The minimum system requirements for the final test are:

    • A computer or laptop with a minimum of Intel Core i3 (or equivalent) and 4GB RAM
    • Windows or Apple operating system, not Chromebook
    • A working webcam, microphone and speaker
    • Minimum screen size 13″ and a resolution of 1024 x 768
    • A reliable internet connection.  We recommend Chrome/Firefox/Opera browsers and not Internet Explorer
  • What languages is the course available in?

    The course is currently only available in English and cannot be translated into any other languages.

  • Is additional support available for students who have learning requirements, such as dyslexia?

  • Does the training need to be completed within a specific time frame?

    No.  There is no time limit to complete the course and you're free to learn at your own pace.  The training can be taken in as many sessions as you wish or completed in one go.

  • Is this course accredited?

    Yes the course is certified by CPD (Continuing Professional Development).  Many of our online courses are also approved by RoSPA (Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents).

  • What device can I take the training on?

    The course can be accessed on any mobile, tablet, PC or laptop with an internet connection.

  • If I fail the course assessment, can I retake it?

    Yes! Don't worry you can retake the assessment as many times as you need and there are no additional charges.
