AED and CPR Course

Overview

During this half day AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and CPR course, delegates will learn how to identify symptoms, apply and use a defibrillator without hesitation. The training also covers basic life support and CPR in an emergency.

* There is no requirement for any student to have previous training or experience with defibrillators. *

Objectives

On successful completion of training in the use of an AED, the delegate should be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and actions required to use an AED during the simulated resuscitation of an adult victim who has suffered a cardiac arrest.

Agenda

The AED & CPR First Aid Course will Cover the following Content: -

  • First Aider role and responsibilities
  • How to manage an emergency
  • Unresponsive Casualty
  • Responsive Casualty
  • Breathing Management & Chest Pain
  • Understanding and operating the AED (any type)
  • Practical use of the AED
  • Performing effective basic life support (CPR)

Assessment

Delegates will be assessed continuously during training by the tutor.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone who may be required to operate an AED machine or wishes to expand their first aid skills & knowledge.

  • Will lunch be Included?

    The joining instructions will indicate if lunch is provided for the duration of your course.  Should you need to know prior to booking please contact one of our team who will be happy to advise.

  • When will I receive my Course Joining Instructions?

    Course joining instructions are sent 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement.  If you book within this time frame they are emailed within 24 hours of the booking being placed.

  • What time does my course start?

    Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement.  Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.

  • Can I complete a name change on my booking?

    Yes, a name change can be completed free of charge providing the delegate being substituted has the required pre-requisites. You can submit your request by emailing our customer service team at training@easybooktraining.co.uk or calling on 01892 543000.
