ONLINE City & Guilds Fire Door Inspection Course (Remote Learning)

If you're responsible for fire safety in your building or workplace, it's also your duty to ensure fire doors are inspected, and the City & Guilds Fire Door Inspection Course gives you exactly the knowledge to do that properly. Regular checks are essential to meet the safety requirements outlined in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and all fire doors must be correctly installed, maintained and inspected to ensure a building is secure and any fire outbreak is contained and controlled effectively.

This virtual, City & Guilds accredited course has been created by fire safety professionals and delivered by experts in real time, so delegates can ask questions and engage with trainers throughout. It pairs well with the Fire Marshal Course, since fire door compliance and evacuation procedures both sit under the same wider fire safety responsibility, and organisations often ensure their fire marshals also understand the basics of door compliance covered here.

Please note that this course does not enable delegates to inspect newly installed fire doors for legal compliance sign-off; the training focuses specifically on the inspection of existing doors and maintaining their fire safety standards. To take part, delegates need a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker; tablets aren't supported for this course.

There is no assessment. However, on completion, delegates receive a City & Guilds Accredited Programme Certificate for Fire Door Inspection, which is valid for three years.

It's important that everyone is aware of fire risks and safety measures in the workplace, so this City & Guilds course is open to anyone keen to create a safer working environment. However, the training is especially aimed at those responsible for fire safety within a building or workplace, including employers, landlords, risk assessors, facilities managers and agents. Fire door manufacturers should also attend this course, as well as those responsible for installing fire doors in private or commercial spaces.

A good understanding of spoken and written English is necessary to attend and successfully complete the City & Guilds Fire Door Inspection Course. Students are required to complete their training on a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker; tablets are not supported.
