• Understanding health and safety law

• Appreciating the need to work safely and to stop and ask for advice if not sure
• The obligation to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident

Candidates sit a multiple-choice test made up of 25 questions, and a pass requires a minimum score of 25 out of 30 (83%). Certification gained through the CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course remains valid for five years.
