Stepping onto a construction site for the first time brings its own kind of nerves, and the CITB Online Health & Safety Awareness Course (Remote Learning) brings the CITB Health & Safety Awareness qualification straight to your screen, without needing to travel to a training venue. This one day virtual course is delivered remotely using instructor-led online learning, and the course content remains the same as classroom-based training, though delegates attend a scheduled, interactive class via Zoom video conferencing rather than in person.
Aimed at people entering, or already working in, the construction and civil engineering industry, the CITB Online Health & Safety Awareness Course (Remote Learning) gives candidates a practical understanding of the health, safety and wellbeing responsibilities they carry towards employees and the general public, along with what to do if someone's health and safety is being compromised. Anyone weighing up remote against classroom delivery may also want to look at the CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course, which covers identical content in person for those who prefer face-to-face learning.
To take part, delegates need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker; tablets aren't supported for this course. Delegates under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian to attend successfully, and it takes approximately two to three weeks for the CITB to issue an E-Cert following successful completion.
