Aimed at those overseeing day-to-day site operations, it covers the environmental risks construction work carries and how to manage them responsibly, legally and practically. Many delegates come to this course having already completed the CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course, since environmental responsibility naturally follows on from personal safety once someone moves into a site management role.

It's also a natural companion to the CITB Health and Safety for Directors Course for organisations wanting environmental accountability understood at every level, from the boardroom down to day-to-day site operations. For those looking to build a broader supervisory skill set, this course pairs well with the CITB SSSTS Course or, for larger sites, the CITB SMSTS Course, giving site managers a rounded grasp of both personal safety and environmental compliance.

A good standard of spoken and written English is necessary to get the most from the day and complete the end-of-course assessment successfully.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my certificate?

CITB certificates are issued electronically via email, and typically take around 2 weeks to be issued. You can also view your results online via the CITB profile at www.citb.co.uk/cards-testing/online-card-checker

Will lunch be Included?

The joining instructions will indicate if lunch is provided for the duration of your course. Should you need to know prior to booking please contact one of our team who will be happy to advise.

When will I receive my Course Joining Instructions?

Course joining instructions are sent 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. If you book within this time frame they are emailed within 24 hours of the booking being placed.

Do I have to attend all days/sessions?

Full attendance on all days, at the required times stated on your course joining instructions, is compulsory to successfully complete the course.

What time does my course start?

Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.

Can I complete a name change on my booking?

Yes, a name change can be completed free of charge providing the delegate being substituted has the required pre-requisites. You can submit your request by emailing our customer service team at [email protected] or calling on 01892 543000.

Will I receive a card with my certificate?

CITB do not currently offer a card option in place of the e-cert.

What happens if I fail the course?

If you should fail the course our customer service team will be in contact to discuss your options. Our team will talk through the process to help you achieve the qualification required in the most effective way.

What does the CITB SEATS exam involve?

An exam of 25 questions, made up of 22 multiple-choice questions and three short multiple-response questions. A pass requires 80% (24 out of 30).

Who is the CITB SEATS course aimed at?

Those with management responsibilities on a construction site, including site supervisors, site managers, assistant site managers, site agents and site foremen.

Are there any prerequisites for this course?

A good understanding of spoken and written English is needed to attend and complete the course successfully.
