Supervising temporary works on site calls for a solid understanding of both the legal duties involved and the practical teamwork needed to keep everyone safe, and the CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Course builds exactly that foundation. Delivered over a single day, it gives delegates a clear grasp of BS5975 and the day-to-day responsibilities that come with the Temporary Works Supervisor role.
This course is often the natural next step for anyone who's already completed the CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWCTC) Course and wants to progress further, while co-ordinators due for renewal should also keep the CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWCTC) Refresher Course in mind to keep their own certification current alongside their team's.
Because this role sits closely alongside general site supervision, many delegates pair this course with the CITB SSSTS Course to build a well-rounded supervisory skill set. Anyone whose temporary works involve scaffolding or shoring will also find the CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection Course (SITS) a useful complement, and the Risk Assessment Online Course reinforces the risk management principles covered throughout the day.
A good standard of spoken and written English is necessary to get the most from the day and complete the end-of-course assessment successfully.
