CPCS A61 Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) Course
5 Days CourseClassroom
The CPCS A61 Appointed Person Training Course is designed for operatives who are responsible for the planning and execution of lifting operations. This specific plant training course provides candidates with the knowledge to ensure compliance with the law and the safety of employees and those who may be affected by their actions.
Anyone wishing to take this CPCS course must have a basic understanding and knowledge of health & safety issues, and have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Touch Screen Test for Managerial & Professional Persons (MAP) within two years of the course examination date. You should also have sufficient experience of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. Anyone whose role also involves directing crane movement on the ground may want to look at the CPCS A40a Slinger Signaller (All Duties) Course, since Appointed Persons and Slinger Signallers work closely together on the same lifting operations.
For experienced operators or those requiring a re-test only, contact the booking team on 08000 931189. Experienced Operator Training runs over four days, while a re-test only takes one day. On completion of your booking, a member of the customer service team will be in touch to collect your existing CSCS Card number, NI number and date of birth. The CPCS Red Trained Operator Card gained on this course is valid for two years and can be upgraded to a Blue CPCS Competence Card on completion of a Level 2 NVQ qualification.
