Overview

The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course is designed for those who have attended the IOSH Managing Safely course with line management responsibilities for health and safety who want to manage effectively, in keeping with their organisation’s health and safety policy and in compliance with health and safety legislation and best practice.

Delegates must have passed the full IOSH Managing Safely course within the last 3 years to be eligible to attend this course.

Objectives

The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher training course is designed to provide continued support to managers in dealing with health and safety issues in their place of work.

The course aims to:

  • Revise key management responsibilities from the IOSH Managing Safely course.
  • Update relevant changes in relevant, good practice guidance, legislation and standards.

 

Agenda

The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher will cover the following topics: -

  • Revisiting managing safely
  • Assessing risks
  • Controlling risks
  • Understanding your responsibilities
  • Incident and accident investigation
  • Measuring performance

Assessment

At the end of the course delegates are required to undertake a multi-format assessment.

IOSH will issue and email successful delegates directly with their Managing Safely Refresher certificate.

Any delegate who has passed the full IOSH Managing Safely course.

    Course joining instructions are sent 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement.  If you book within this time frame they are emailed within 24 hours of the booking being placed.

    Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement.  Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.
