Managing safety well isn't a one-off achievement, it's an ongoing responsibility, and the IOSH Managing Safely Refresher Course keeps that responsibility sharp. Designed for delegates who've already completed the IOSH Managing Safely Course, it revisits key management duties and brings them up to date with the latest guidance, legislation and best practice, helping managers stay effective and compliant with their organisation's health and safety policy.
Delegates must have passed the full IOSH Managing Safely Course within the last three years to be eligible to attend. Managers whose teams also need refreshing on the basics may want to pair this with the IOSH Working Safely Course for junior staff, keeping safety knowledge current across every level of the organisation.
Since risk assessment remains a core part of the refresher content, delegates often revisit the Risk Assessment Online Course alongside this qualification for a deeper practical grounding. Managers looking to build further on their existing knowledge sometimes progress onto the NEBOSH National General Certificate, while organisations wanting board-level and management-level expectations kept in step often pair this refresher with the CITB Health and Safety for Directors Course for senior leadership.
