The Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations (2015) set the safety standard for all construction work in the UK. With an emphasis on communication and teamwork, they outline the legal and safety framework that everyone involved, such as clients, designers and contractors, must follow.
Whatever the project – from demolition and extensions to planning new developments – duty holders must bring contractors together as early as possible to comply with the regulations.
Health and safety risks should be identified, evaluated and addressed from planning through to completion. Any project that fails to comply with CDM regulations can face heavy fines or even criminal prosecution.
In one day, this remote-learning course will give you a solid understanding of the Construction Design and Management Regulations, 2015. You’ll be able to identify and control risks, foster a safe working environment and reduce accidents. In addition, you’ll know your legal responsibilities, and those of other construction workers.
You’ll attend a scheduled, interactive class via Zoom. For this, you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker (sorry, no tablets).
