The PASMA Standard Tower Course with E-Learning Theory is a two-part course that requires delegates to successfully complete their online element the day before the practical assessment. Candidates should allow two to three hours for their online training on a compatible device such as a PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone. Aimed at anyone involved with the use of Mobile Access Towers, the course provides the necessary training to safely erect, use, inspect and dismantle aluminium or fibreglass Mobile Access Towers, covering component identification, assembly criteria, stability, hazards, safe use, maintenance and inspection.

Anyone who'd prefer to complete both theory and practical elements in person on the same day, rather than the online-then-in-person format here, should look at the standard PASMA Standard Tower Course instead. Please note that all delegates are required to successfully complete both e-learning and practical assessment modules to achieve PASMA Standard Tower Certification.

Upon successfully passing both the theory and practical assessments, delegates access their virtual photo-card and certificate via the TowerSure app, available for both iOS and Android devices, valid for five years. Please note that PASMA can take up to four weeks to issue certification.

Will lunch be Included?

The joining instructions will indicate if lunch is provided for the duration of your course. Should you need to know prior to booking please contact one of our team who will be happy to advise.

Do I have to attend all days/sessions?

Full attendance on all days, at the required times stated on your course joining instructions, is compulsory to successfully complete the course.

What time does my course start?

Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.

Can I complete a name change on my booking?

Yes, a name change can be completed free of charge providing the delegate being substituted has the required pre-requisites. You can submit your request by emailing our customer service team at [email protected] or calling on 01892 543000.

Do I need to be physically fit to complete a PASMA course?

All of the PASMA courses involve an element of practical work, which means assembling, dismantling, moving and climbing towers. This can be physically demanding, so you will be required to have a reasonable level of fitness. If you have any doubts about your fitness to use towers, share your concerns with your employer in the first instance and speak to our bookings team for advice.

How do I renew my PASMA certification?

If your PASMA certification is due to expire, you can extend it by taking the same training course again. The course will most likely have been updated since you last took it, to keep up with changing standards, regulations and good practice.

Is it possible to fail a PASMA course?

Yes, PASMA courses are formally assessed and all courses include both a written and practical assessment. If you fail either assessment, you will fail the course. Your instructor will do everything they can to prepare you for your assessments.

How will I recieve my PASMA Card & Certificate?

PASMA certification is available to delegates via the TowerSure app. TowerSure is available for all new and existing PASMA card holders, in all countries where the PASMA qualification is issued.

Open the TowerSure App on the PASMA website, available for both iOS and Android devices.
Register for an account (please ensure the name entered is EXACTLY the same as what was provided to the trainer on the course. For example, you can't use James on the course and Jim on TowerSure)
Enter your PASMA certificate number - this is an optional field but without it you won't be able to see your virtual card. Your training centre will provide this to you on completion of the course.
When logged into the app, you will need to click the profile icon in the top right corner to view your virtual card. On renewal of a card, or if you complete any additional PASMA Courses, your profile will be updated automatically.

When do I need to complete the e-learning element?

The day before your practical assessment. Both the e-learning and practical modules must be completed successfully to achieve PASMA Standard Tower Certification.

How do I access my certificate after the course?

Via the TowerSure app, available for iOS and Android. Certification is valid for five years, and PASMA can take up to four weeks to issue it. A physical copy incurs an additional fee.

What equipment do I need for the e-learning element?

A compatible device, such as a PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone, with two to three hours available for the online training.
