5 things your boss needs to know about SSSTS training

5 things your boss needs to know about SSSTS training

What does it stand for?

SSSTS stands for Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme.

What is SSSTS?

SSSTS courses are accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board. The course is nationally recognised as a safety qualification and is now a requirement set out by many large contractor groups when recruiting for site supervisors.

How will it help the business?

If you are in the construction industry then you need to be educated in the health & safety risks of being on a building site. This education needs to be filtered through to all of your employees to help both reduce site related accidents and to keep your business up to date with health and safety legislation.

What does it teach you?

On successful completion, your staff will understand all health, safety and environmental issues relevant to the industry. They will learn about what responsibilities they have as an individual when on site. Your employee will be taught best practices for supervising construction activities on a building site. They will also be educated in risk assessments, industry legislation, staff health and safety inductions and intervention of bad practices.

Why should I invest in safety training?

SSSTS courses are an important part of construction site supervisor training. These courses have been designed solely for the purpose of site supervisors or site workers who have delegates working in the construction industry and is relevant to everyday tasks.

How lond does the SSSTS course last for? after 5 years you will need to attend a SSSTS refresher course at Easybook Training.
