NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations (General)

The NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations (General) course is aimed at candidates who are currently working as a junior site supervisor or document controller on a construction site and who want to demonstrate to employers a level of knowledge and expertise.  On successful completion of this nvq course, students will be able to apply for their CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card.

Topics covered by this construction NVQ course include how to operate construction information systems and how to organise schedules and programmes of work.

Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old and have a good understanding of the English language.  The course is designed so the learner can gain the qualification while at work and enhance their career prospects.


Objectives

At the end of the NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations (General) course, candidates will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of IT systems used on a construction site and health and safety in the workplace. Candidates will also be able to specialise in three chosen areas for example tenders, work operations or data analysis.

The Level 3 NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations (General) course will cover the following topics:

Assessment

In order to successfully complete this Level 3 construction NVQ course; an NVQ assessor will observe the learner through a range of methods:

  • observations to see skills in practice
  • professional discussions
  • written questions
  • a portfolio of evidence

*To apply for the CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card candidates must have an up to date CITB Health and Safety Touch Screen Test*
