NVQ Level 3 in Plastering (Construction) Solid
The NVQ Level 3 in Plastering (Construction) Solid course is aimed at candidates who are currently working as advanced plasterers and who want to demonstrate to employers a level of knowledge and expertise. Practical skills taught on the course will include how to produce complex plastering finishes. On successful completion of this NVQ course, students will be able to apply for their CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card.
Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old and have a good understanding of the English language. The course is designed so the learner can gain the qualification while at work and enhance their career prospects.
Objectives
At the end of the NVQ Level 3 in Plastering (Construction) Solid course, candidates will be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of different types of complex plastering techniques and finishes.
Agenda
The NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations (General) course will cover the following topics:
- Health and safety
- Developing relationships on site and an understanding of resources and methods used to complete a job
- Complex internal plastering finishing techniques
- Complex external rendering finishing techniques
- Working with plasterboard
Assessment
In order to successfully complete this Level 3 construction NVQ course; an NVQ assessor will observe the learner through a range of methods:
- observations to see skills in practice
- professional discussions
- written questions
- a portfolio of evidence
*To apply for the CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card candidates must have an up to date CITB Health and Safety Touch Screen Test*

Students will have telephone and email access to their dedicated assessor throughout the working week. Assessors will be on-hand to answer any questions and offer assistance where required
CSCS card costs
The current cost of the CSCS card is £36. Students will be required to apply for their CSCS card directly on receipt of their certificate.

NVQ certificates typically takes just 10 working days to be issued on completion of the course.
