Lone workers are particularly susceptible to health and safety risks that aren’t as likely to occur in busy workplaces. Being isolated from others while carrying out your work can impact your mental health, stress levels and vulnerability.

Although solitary workers aren’t necessarily at a higher risk of being attacked, working alone means they may not have the support network to prevent an incident, or report one. Remote locations, or night shifts with fewer people around, can leave lone workers feeling exposed.

If you manage a lone worker, it’s important that you manage their health and safety carefully. 

This RoSPA & CPD accredited 45-minute online Lone Worker course has been developed to explain UK legislation, so you can put effective measures in place to safeguard your lone worker(s).
