Health Life and Safety (HLS Training) was founded in February 2009 with a clear belief that the construction industry deserved better health and safety training. Based at The Homestead in Fenton, Retford, Nottinghamshire, the company has grown over more than 15 years into a provider with 15 dedicated training locations across the UK, including London, Southampton, Derby, Edinburgh, Leeds, Leyland, Newcastle, Doncaster, and Glasgow.

The provider's course portfolio is extensive, spanning the full CITB Site Safety Plus range including SMSTS, SSSTS, Health and Safety Awareness, SEATS, Directors Role for Health and Safety, and the complete Temporary Works suite, alongside NEBOSH National General Certificate, Construction Certificate, Environmental Certificate, and Fire Safety Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely, and first aid courses at every level. Plant training is delivered through CPCS, NPORS, and ALLMI accreditation, covering a wide range of machinery and lifting categories, while NVQs span trade, plant operations, lifting operations, supervisory and management, steel erecting, passive fire protection, and occupational health and safety disciplines. Short courses include confined space, working at height, vehicle banksman, COSHH, fire marshal, and mental health first aid.

Accreditation spans CITB, NEBOSH, IOSH, NPORS, CPCS, and ALLMI, with CSCS card support also available. HLS also offers consultancy and managed training solutions, giving clients a comprehensive end-to-end training management service.
