CISRS Part 2 Scaffolder Tube and Fitting Course

Overview

This 10-day Part 2 Scaffolder Tube & Fitting Training Course builds upon the knowledge and practical skills gained in the CISRS Part 1 Scaffolder Tube & Fitting Course. After successful completion of Part 1, you are required to complete a minimum of 6 months - up to 18 months hands-on experience working on-site within scaffolding operations.

This CISRS Part 2 training, will teach you how to erect, alter and dismantle a range of scaffold structures as part of a team. Using a mixture of classroom-based theory, practical training and online learning, you’ll leave with the ability to take on more complex structures safely.

Objectives

By the end of this 10-day CISRS course, you will:

  • Know how to erect, alter and dismantle various structures, including:
    • Independent tied scaffold
    • bridging beams
    • truss out scaffold
    • pavement gantry
    • cantilevered protection fan scaffolds
    • roof saddle scaffold
    • loading bay
    • Splay scaffold
    • in tube and fittings
  • Safely erect mobile aluminium tower scaffolds where applicable
  • Understand which structure is appropriate for different scenarios
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Explain storage requirements and inspection methods of tube and fitting scaffolding

Agenda

At the start of this 10-day Scaffold Training course, you will be assessed for your skills and experience of basic scaffolding jobs, which you will have learnt in Part 1 of the Scaffolder Tube & Fitting Course.  Then, your training will cover the following subject areas:

  • Health and safety legislation and Codes of Practice
  • Preventing falls while working at height
  • Basic rescue training
  • Stabilising scaffolds - tube and fittings, ties, anchors, raking tubes and system scaffolds
  • Independent tied scaffold
  • Bridging with prefabricated beams
  • Truss out scaffold
  • Roof saddle scaffold
  • Protection fans
  • Pavement gantry
  • Loading bay
  • Edge protection
  • Splay scaffold
  • Interpreting a range of drawings
  • Inspecting scaffolding for safety and stabilisation
  • Practical and theory tests

Assessment

At the end of this CISRS Part 2 Scaffolding Tube and Fitting course, you will need to pass several written tests and a practical skills assessment.

On successful completion of the full 10-days training, you’ll receive a CISRS Certificate of training. You can then apply to have your CISRS card updated to include this training.

Who Should Attend?

This course is for scaffolding operatives, scaffolding trainees and labourers who have had at least six months’ experience working in scaffold operations since completing their CISRS Part 1 Tube & Fitting Scaffold course.

Prerequisites

Before booking this course, delegates must have passed the CISRS Part 1 Tube & Fittings Scaffold Course and had at least six months on-site experience, working within scaffolding operations.
