This 5 dayCITB SMSTS Course is designed for construction site managers, site agents and persons who are, or due to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff and a workforce. In order to obtain this SMSTS qualification delegates MUST attend all days of their chosen course.

 

The SMSTS certificate is valid for 5 years, after which time candidates are required to sit theSMSTS Refresher course to renew their SMSTS certification.

 

Training will cover relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce.

Delegates under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian to successfully attend.
