The NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works) Operatives Course is necessity for any employee who is actively working on or adjacent to the public highways as defined by regulations supportive to the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.

 

This safety course will assess qualified experienced operatives on their ability to perform duties to the standards prescribed in the SQA, in order to safeguard themselves and others around them. This construction training course covers the procedures and guidelines for working on roads and highways. The qualification is targeted at those who are employed by local authorities, utilities companies or contractors and are carrying out work on roads, highways or on footpaths. It is essential that those who are working on public highways or even adjacent to them take the relevant NRSWA training courses and achieve the required qualification. It is through this range of qualified training and competence that accidents are avoided and road fatalities are reduced.

 

In addition to bringing relevant PPE, students will need to take 2 passport size photographs for the card application.  A basic comprehension of the English Language is essential.
