Once completed, the NRSWA Unit S1 Signing, Lighting and Guarding course certifies successful candidates to supervise the setting out of traffic lights, signs, cones and barriers in compliance with the NRSW Act. Assessment is carried out during the course, and delegates are also required to complete a question paper alongside evidence from the workplace where the assessment is carried out on a simulated site.
Please note that the NRSWA Unit S1 Signing, Lighting and Guarding course does not certify candidates to undertake the setting out of signing, lighting and guarding themselves; to qualify for that, students must successfully pass the operative NRSWA Unit 1 Signing, Lighting and Guarding course instead.
