How long does the SMSTS course last?

The full SMSTS training course runs over five days. You can also complete this 5 day CITB SMSTS training as an online remote learning instructor-led course too, making it more accessible for those balancing site work and study.

How is the SMSTS course assessed?

What is the SMSTS pass rate?

To successfully pass this Site Management Safety Training Scheme course, delegates are required to achieve a score of 81% or more. To successfully complete the SMSTS course, you must also pass the trainer's review. If you score between 72% and 78% on your final test, you may be allowed to resit the exam.

How long is the SMSTS certificate valid for?

Once completed, your CITB SMSTS certificate is valid for five years. You must take the SMSTS refresher course before it expires to maintain your qualification.
