NEBOSH, which stands for the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, is an independent examining board formed in 1979. NEBOSH was formed to offer a range of vocationally related qualifications, all designed to teach health, safety, environmental and risk management in the workplace.
Annually, there are around 35,000 candidates who undertake NEBOSH qualifications in over 100 countries around the world. The qualifications are recognised by a number of different professional membership bodies so are recognised as important qualifications in industry. In fact, a number of experts have stated that a NEBOSH qualification is the most prestigious a health and safety practitioner can hold.
NEBOSH offer a wide range of courses, aimed at different people in different industries. Some people may struggle to decide which qualification they should choose.
